Stationary Swimming

 Everyone in the Pool!
...and then pretend you are a  hamster on a wheel!

More and more, people are using their swimming pools as their excercise of choice, and waht a good choice it is! But is that inground swimming pool sitting in your backyard large enough for you to do laps and practice all your swimming strokes?

If you are like most people, the answer is "No." It may be great for the weekend pool parties, and for taking a dip after the yard work is done, but it falls short if you need to stretch and do some pwer swimming. There are specialized pools on the market, where jets create a current inside the pool, and you "swim against the current" but these can not only be as expensive as a regular inground swimming pool, it would mean you own two pools.

Instead, you need a tethering system which holds you stationary in the swimming pool, installs easily in your existing pool and doens't cost an arm and a leg. I've reviewed three of the more popular brands. Take a look and see if these are more suited to your needs,

Consumers Struggle to Find Reliable Inground Swimming Pool Builders

As the seasons cycle,

another wave of searching begins. The quest is an earnest one. One where tens of thousands of dollars hang in the balance. One where the wrong decision can result in years of despair. One where only the experienced succeed, and the inexperienced must trust to their luck.

The search: an attempt to find an inground swimming pool builder who is reliable, trust-worthy, and quality-minded . It can be a daunting task, leaving the swimming pool hopeful dazed and confused as they try to asses where they went wrong.

Few realize there is actually a science to this. In other words, it doesn't need to be guesswork, but can be an actual, focused, meaningful search designed to succeed. The quality of the pool builders you will find will range from sub-standard to excellent, and since it's not mandatory that they wear hats proclaiming "I'm a complete flup!' or "Hire at your own risk!", the consumer is at risk of entering into a forty thousand dollar deal of despair.

This is very much like the "Which came first, the chicken or the egg" question. Point in fact, one of the best ways of understanding what must be done in finding a quality swimming pool builder, is to capitalize on previous experience. However, you only gain experience by exposing yourself to the risk. So, how to mitigate the risk? By taking advantage of someone else's experience. Let their experience guide you through the process.

Swimming Pool Vacuums

We do love our swimming pools, but let's face it, they are high maintenance toys! Opening, closing, landscaping, chemicals, cleaning, covering..... it seems that everything associated with its maintenance is either back breaking or in need of continuous attention. But then it comes time to jump into that cool sparkling water, and all is forgiven!

I've adopted a "Less maintenance, more swimming philosophy!" (and I encourage you to do the same). And one thing that helped me to do this was purchasing an automatic swimming pool vacuum.
